Implant Dentist in Wellesley, MA

Wellesley patients who are researching implant dentists are usually looking for three things: a genuine specialist, demonstrable academic credentials, and evidence of long-term results. The Face Dental Group is led by Prof. Dr. Wael Att — a board-certified prosthodontist, former chair of prosthodontics at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, author of more than 150 peer-reviewed scientific publications, and the developer of the STAR Concept™, an innovative digital protocol for immediate full-arch implant reconstruction.

Our Boston office is accessible from Wellesley via the Mass Pike or Route 9. Most Wellesley patients reach us in under 30 minutes, and many combine appointments with other Boston commitments.

The Case for a Prosthodontist

A prosthodontist is one of the nine recognized dental specialties in the United States. Training requires an additional three years of residency beyond dental school, focused entirely on the restoration and replacement of teeth — from single crowns to complex full-arch implant cases, full mouth rehabilitations, and maxillofacial prosthetics. When you are investing in implants or complex restorative work, the difference between a specialist and a generalist shows up in three places: the quality of the treatment planning, the precision of the surgery and prosthetics, and how the result looks and functions five, ten, and twenty years later.

Why Full-Arch Cases Go Better with the STAR Concept™

Traditional All-on-4 surgery is largely freehand. The surgeon decides implant positions during the procedure, and the prosthesis is fabricated afterward to compensate for whatever surgical compromises were needed. Under the STAR Concept™ protocol, the implant positions, prosthesis design, and aesthetic outcome are all planned digitally before surgery. Surgical guides direct implant placement within fractions of a millimeter of the plan, and a pre-fabricated provisional bridge is attached the same day. The result is a more predictable outcome with better aesthetics and fewer complications.

What to Bring to a Consultation

If you have been seen elsewhere, bring any recent panoramic x-rays, CBCT scans, or treatment plans you have received. We will do a fresh CBCT and intraoral scan, but prior records help us understand the full history. Insurance is discussed transparently at the first visit — we do not bundle surprise fees into treatment plans.
