Why Back Bay Patients Choose The Face Dental Group
Back Bay is home to some of Boston’s most discerning patients — professionals, academics, and residents who expect the highest standard in every service they receive. When it comes to dental implants and full mouth reconstruction, that standard is defined by three things: clinical expertise, technology, and long-term outcomes.
- Board-certified prosthodontist. Prosthodontists complete three additional years of specialty training beyond dental school in the restoration and replacement of teeth. Dr. Att is board-certified by the German Society of Prosthodontics and is the United States Education Delegate of the International Team for Implantology (ITI).
- Academic authority. Dr. Att is a former professor and chair of the Department of Prosthodontics at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and currently a professor at the University of Freiburg, Germany.
- Proprietary STAR Concept™ protocol. For patients requiring full-arch reconstruction, our in-house protocol eliminates much of the guesswork of conventional All-on-4 techniques.
- Digital workflow. We use intraoral scanning, CBCT imaging, and digital smile design for every implant case.

Full-Arch Implants for Back Bay Patients
Patients who have lost or are losing most of their teeth in one or both arches are typically candidates for full-arch implant reconstruction. Instead of wearing a removable denture, four to six implants are placed in strategic positions and a fixed bridge is attached to them. With the STAR Concept™ protocol developed at our practice, many patients leave their surgical appointment with a fixed set of provisional teeth the same day.
For Back Bay patients, this means a single treatment day often replaces months of progressive tooth loss, temporary dentures, and multiple surgeries. Final zirconia or ceramic prostheses are placed after healing, giving a permanent result that looks and functions like natural teeth.
Ceramic (Metal-Free) Implants
Back Bay patients with sensitivities to metals, thin gum biotypes, or a strong preference for biocompatible restorations frequently ask about ceramic implants. The Face Dental Group is one of the few practices in New England offering zirconia ceramic implants, which are fully metal-free and deliver excellent soft tissue integration.
